Session Overview:
Facilitating an annual administrative conference within the first two months of school is an essential component to planning a comprehensive school counseling program. This session is geared toward helping school counselors plan and facilitate a successful annual administrative conference by reviewing the following ASCA documents: Annual agreement, Annual Calendar, Classroom and Group Mindsets & Behaviors Action Plan, and Closing-the-Gap Action Plan.
Speaker: John Creger
This is John Creger's thirteenth year as a school counselor and ninth year at his current school, The Marietta Center for Advanced Academics in Marietta City Schools. MCAA is acclaimed as the first STEM certified elementary school in the state of Georgia, and currently serves students in grades 3-5. He is a former board member for the Cobb School Counseling Association, current Georgia School Counseling Association ASCA/RAMP leadership chair, and RAMP review committee member for the American School Counseling Association. He is a current doctoral student at the University of West Georgia in Professional Counseling and Supervision and has interest in examining the professional scope of practice of professional school counselors.
