Address Racial Disproportionality in Special Education

According to the National Center of Education Statistics in fall 2020, 46% of U.S. students were white, and only 15% were Black. When looking at the national statistics for the students enrolled in special education programs, Black students make up 17% of students in special education, and white students make up 15%, even though overall there is a higher percentage of white students than Black students. Learn to address this disproportionality of minority students in special education by being an agent of change.
