Join us May 3, 2024 for a Virtual Day of Education!

Serving Students Through Comprehensive Counseling

Eager to dive into comprehensive counseling?  We have assembled a day of presenters who have experience with RAMP as winners and/or as reviewers. While this is not a RAMP course, this level of experience with RAMP amounts to a lot of expertise in comprehensive counseling programs.  Each counselor will cover their favorite aspect or component of comprehensive programs, and will leave participants with specific strategies and tips that they can use at their schools right away (or at least for next school year!).

4 CEUs available.  The CEU form will be provided via e-mail.

Agenda:

10:00am -10:50am  Making Comprehensive Counseling a Success as the only Counselor in the Building, presented by Dr. Jennifer Diaz, LPC

Dr. Diaz, GSCA President, kicks off Virtual Day! She is currently a middle school counselor in Gwinnett County with 22 years of experience.  Her schools have received the RAMP recognition four times and she has also served as a RAMP reviewer.

11:00am - 11:50am  Creating data-driven, proactive, preventative, and sustainable, comprehensive school counseling programs, presented by Dr. Dawn Mann

Dr. Mann is the founder of New Dawn Training Solutions, a school counseling consultation organization committed to helping school counselors build and maintain a sustainable school counseling practice.  Before building NDTS, she served school counselors all over Georgia as a Program Manager for the GA DOE after serving Cobb County Schools for 17 years.

1:00pm - 1:50pm  All Things Organization, presented by Robin Zorn, Ed.S.

Mrs. Zorn is the current President-Elect of GSCA.  She is a veteran school counselor of 30 years and has earned the RAMP award four times (Re-RAMPing three times!).  She is currently an elementary school counselor in Gwinnett County and has also served as a RAMP reviewer.

2:00pm - 2:50pm   Journey to Student Success Through Comprehensive School Counseling: Phasing it All In, presented by Barbara Truluck, Ed.S.

Mrs. Truluck is currently a School Counseling Consultant for Cobb County School District. Mrs. Truluck has been in education for 22 years and previously served as a Cobb County Middle School Counselor. Her school earned the RAMP award twice with School of Distinction! She has also served as a RAMP reviewer.
