GSCA Webinar - Georgia Degrees Pay

The University System of Georgia has recently created a user-friendly academic program search tool that facilitates current and prospective students searching all USG programs in one place by program characteristics, including keyword, modality, and distance from home. It is embedded in Georgia Degrees Pay, the USG’s one-stop shop website for prospective students to learn about the value of a USG credential and to make comparisons between institutions and programs to support enrollment decisions.  This session will demo Georgia Degrees Pay and, in particular, the new Program Search Tool.  We will also solicit feedback from the GSCA members for future enhancements.
 
Speakers:

Angela Bell is the Vice Chancellor of Research and Policy Analysis for the University System of Georgia. Her division is responsible for meeting the information needs of the University System ranging from overseeing collection of campus data, responding to internal and external data requests, and conducting research and analysis to guide planning, policy, and decision making. Before coming to the USG, Angela worked at the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission as the Vice Chancellor of Policy and Planning. She earned a doctorate in Higher Education Administration at the University of Georgia.
 

Laura Lynch is the Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Programs and Policy at the University System of Georgia, which includes oversight of all degrees and majors offered across the 26-institution system. She previously served in such roles as Assistant Vice President for Faculty Affairs, Registrar, Director of Teaching and Learning, and Professor of Mathematics at the College of Coastal Georgia. She earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
