This webinar will discuss LGBTQ sexual identity development, helpful "coming out" responses, as well as attitudes of support for being an advocate.
 
Professional Bio
Dr. Ken Jackson received his MA in Guidance and Counseling from the University of North Florida and his PhD in Counseling and Student Personnel Services from the University of Georgia. He has worked in education for 37 years as a counselor, principal, and teacher and is currently a practicing School Counselor in Georgia.   

He has worked as a consultant for educators, schools and school systems on diversity issues, created and taught diversity classes in high schools, and led workshops and seminars for local schools and national educational conferences on diversity and making schools safe and supportive.  

Dr. Jackson is a member of several professional counseling associations including the American Counseling Association (ACA); the American School Counselor Association (ASCA); the Society for Sexual, Affectional, Intersex, and Gender Expansive Identities (SAIGE); and the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES). His professional interests include LGBTQ student advocacy, counselor training and attitude, college access, well-being, and social justice issues in K-16 settings.   

He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS).
