Walk away with practical tools and resources for responding to concerns, communicating effectively with families and providing ongoing support to students and families navigating diagnosis, treatment and recovery. Focus on a proactive, strengths-based, student-centered approach, drawing from the National Eating Disorders Association Educator and School Staff Toolkit.

  2. Identify early warning signs and apply appropriate, school-based response strategies
  3. Communicate concerns with students, families and multidisciplinary teams

Presenters: 

Holly Neyer, Child and Family Therapist, Hart Integrated Wellness

Holly Neyer is an outpatient child and family therapist at Hart Integrated Wellness specializing in the care of children, adolescents and young adults. Prior to entering clinical practice, she spent years as both an educator and school counselor, giving her a unique understanding of student mental health within educational settings. Neyer's clinical work focuses on supporting individuals and families navigating experiences with eating disorders, anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder and co-occurring mood disorders. She is passionate about building dynamic and meaningful care that includes systemic support from families, schools and community partners to help children and adolescents thrive.
