The Take It Down Act: Help Students Deal with Deepfakes and Image-Based Abuse

Has someone violated your students’ trust and privacy by sharing explicit images or AI-generated nudes of them online? Did you know that online platforms — like TikTok, Facebook, and Discord — are legally required to give people a way to report these images? And, if the platform fails to take down the images within 48 hours, that could be a violation of the Take It Down Act? Join the Federal Trade Commission for a webinar about the Take It Down Act and how you can use the FTC’s resources to help students deal with deepfakes and image-based abuse.
